She was always non-judgemental and aimed to arm us with information but ultimately let us lead the way. When I went into labor, having Bethany as a resource was incredibly helpful to know what to do and when it was time to go to the hospital. She was there for me throughout labor and kept me engaged in conversation, advocated for me to move around and do what felt right for my body, and took care of me at a time I felt most vulnerable. She allowed my husband to rest, instructed him on how to best support me, and gave us space when we needed. Honestly, one of the things I missed most after I was moved to the postpartum room was Bethany's caring presence - she just has a way of making you feel like you're taken care of and that was such a wonderful thing to experience during labor.
